The MT700 uses a standard ASCII text-based protocol over TCP/UDP. Your server opens a TCP listener on a port you define, and the device connects and sends position reports at the configured interval. We provide the full command set, parameter reference, and APN/server setup guides. The protocol is compatible with Traccar, Flespi, Wialon, or any custom server that can parse the message format. Protocol documentation is available on request.
The MT700 uses a standard nano-SIM slot — you insert your own SIM from any operator that supports LTE-M, NB-IoT, or 2G in your deployment region. Devices are carrier-agnostic, with no Mictrack SIM plan. Most customers use a global roaming / multi-network IoT SIM for multi-country coverage on a single SKU; major-carrier and local or project-specific SIMs work equally well. If you need help choosing a SIM or carrier for a specific region, our engineering team can advise based on your deployment.
The 7-year figure applies to the non-rechargeable MT700-N / MT700-NW versions at a 1× daily reporting interval over NB-IoT in standard temperature conditions; rechargeable versions can exceed 720 days per charge at a 24-hour reporting interval under the stated test conditions. We began a continuous long-term field verification on 1 December 2022 — the same unit has been reporting daily for 1,278+ days with 56% battery remaining (verified as of June 2026; log updated periodically). That is a measured operating record, not a datasheet projection. Battery life is sensitive to reporting frequency, signal environment, temperature extremes, and carrier negotiation time. The MT700 holds FCC (USA), CE (Europe), RoHS, and WEEE compliance. These cover the major deployment markets. If you require additional regional certifications for a specific market, discuss this as part of an ODM/OEM project — we can advise on certification pathways and timelines.
